Nominate a Future Leader: The Next Gen Trailblazer Award

Do you know an emerging talent who is shaping the future of broadcasting?

Nominate them for the Next Gen Trailblazer Award.

This award celebrates and supports early to mid-career professionals(typically with up to 10-15 years of experience) who demonstrate outstanding leadership, creativity, and passion.

Five winners will be chosen by a jury to join the Trailblazers panel at Radio Days North America 2026. To support their career growth, each winner will also receive a $1,000 bursary from Orbyt Media and a $1,000 prize from The Scotia Women’s Initiative.

For each category below, please provide specific examples that illustrate the nominee's qualifications. The strongest nominations will tell a story and demonstrate the nominee's impact.

  1. Career Achievements Describe the nominee's most significant career achievements. What impact have these accomplishments had on their organization or the wider industry? (Please include specific outcomes or metrics where possible.)

  2. Leadership Qualities How does the nominee demonstrate leadership? Provide an example of a time they inspired, mentored, or guided their colleagues to a successful outcome.

  3. Innovation & Creativity In what ways has the nominee shown exceptional innovation or creativity? Describe a project or challenge where their original thinking made a key difference.

  4. Integrity Describe how the nominee upholds high standards of integrity, such as honesty, responsibility, grace, respect, accountability, and hard work.

  5. Passion What drives the nominee’s passion for the broadcasting industry? How do they go above and beyond their formal role to contribute to the industry's future?
